"To promote the enjoyment, preservation and continuation of the living art of folk music." FOLK MUSIC RECORD & CD LENDING LIBRARY The song that is playing in the background is "Tom Dooley" by The Kingston Trio |
|
With the donation of the personal folk music record collections of Ken Kaplan and Hank Weisman, the Savannah Folk Music Society has established a lending library of these recordings for Society members. Of course, this service is only of value for those staunch audiophiles who retained their turntables in the wake of audio tape and then the compact disk. The records listed below may be borrowed from the library by contacting Hank Weisman (hgweisman1@aol.com or 912-786-6953). Arrangements will be made to deliver the record at a Society event or another mutually convenient occasion. The library currently consists of the following COMPACT DISCS: American Sea Songs and Shanties Various Artists-Library of Congress; Rounder Back Roads to Cold Mountain Varous Artists Smithsonian Folkways
